Where we work

Central and coastal San Diego

Our epoxy flooring service areas cover central and coastal San Diego, from Point Loma and Coronado north through La Jolla, Del Mar and Carlsbad, inland to Carmel Valley and Rancho Santa Fe, and through the older neighborhoods around Balboa Park. Each community below has its own page on local homes, buildings and the conditions that shape the right floor system there.

Town pages cover La Jolla, Carmel Valley, Del Mar (including Solana Beach), Rancho Santa Fe, Encinitas, Carlsbad, Coronado and Point Loma on the coast, and Downtown San Diego, Bankers Hill, Hillcrest, North Park and Golden Hill in the center of the city. We also work throughout the rest of the City of San Diego, so if your neighborhood is not listed, ask and we will confirm.

Coastal, central and inland

Epoxy flooring for coastal, central and inland San Diego

Near the coast, the marine layer keeps air humid through late spring and early summer, salt air reaches a few miles inland, and older slabs are more likely to carry moisture. Coastal floors call for a moisture test before anything else, a well-sealed system and a UV-stable topcoat on any floor that sees sun.

Inland communities such as Carmel Valley and Rancho Santa Fe run hotter and drier. Moisture is often less of a concern there, but summer heat makes hot-tire pickup and UV exposure the bigger risks, along with outdoor concrete that bakes all afternoon. We adjust the base coat, topcoat and texture to the address.

The central neighborhoods are a different job again. Downtown, Bankers Hill, Hillcrest, North Park and Golden Hill hold some of the city's older houses, many apartments and condos, and busy restaurant and retail streets, so private garages are fewer and smaller. Those pages cover alley garages, workshops and older slabs alongside commercial kitchens, storefronts and loft floors.
